IT Support Specialist - help desk (Sacramento, CA)

Fernwood Beacon Financial Group is looking for an IT Support Specialist. The job centres on help desk for account servicing, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Sacramento. What you will do • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with account servicing. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Sacramento. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
