IT Support Specialist - help desk (Richmond, VA)

Foxglove Birch Environmental Services Group is an environmental-services company in Richmond with routes, transfer stations and recycling, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our help desk. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Richmond. What you will do • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with recycling loads. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Richmond. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
