IT Support Specialist - help desk (Richmond, VA)

Fernwood Quill Energy Group delivers power and gas plans across the Richmond region. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on help desk. You would join a large organisation of about 298 people based in Richmond. What you will do • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • Experience with usage data. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Richmond, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
