IT Support Specialist - help desk (Reno, NV)

Cedar Forge Arts Center runs a venue and education programmes in Reno, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our help desk. Everyone pitches in on show days. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with school partnerships. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Reno. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
