IT Support Specialist - help desk (remote)

Stonegate River Staffing connects candidates and employers across the New Orleans region. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on help desk. Recruiters here keep in touch with people long after placement. What you will do • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • Experience with candidate screening. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in New Orleans. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
