IT Support Specialist - help desk (remote)

Northwind Basin Civic Services works with county and city offices around St. Louis, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our help desk. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with case files. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in St. Louis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
