IT Support Specialist - help desk (remote)

Ironwood Meridian Inspection Services provides independent inspection and testing for industry across Buffalo, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our help desk. You would join a small organisation of about 35 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with client sites. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Buffalo. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
