IT Support Specialist - help desk (remote)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Rowan Freight and adding an IT Support Specialist whose main responsibility will be help desk. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with dock schedules. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Buffalo. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
