IT Support Specialist - help desk (remote)

Clearpath Orchard Environmental Services serves homes and businesses with collection and disposal in Birmingham. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on help desk. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • Experience with landfill records. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Birmingham. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
