IT Support Specialist - help desk (remote)

Amberfield Cross Energy is an energy provider in Raleigh focused on reliable service and fair billing, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our help desk. You would join a small organisation of about 81 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with hardship programmes. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Raleigh. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
