IT Support Specialist - help desk (remote)

Greenridge Nest Staffing is a Portland staffing firm for warehouse, office and healthcare roles. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on help desk. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with candidate screening. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Portland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
