IT Support Specialist - help desk (remote)

Cedar Rowan Inspection Services is an inspection company in Hartford with field technicians and lab staff, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our help desk. Training and certification are paid for. What you will do • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • Experience with equipment calibration. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Hartford. • We reply to every applicant.
