IT Support Specialist - help desk (remote)

Nova Rowan Inspection Services tests and certifies buildings, pipelines and equipment around Austin. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on help desk. You would join a small organisation of about 177 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with scheduling. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Austin. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
