IT Support Specialist - help desk (remote)

Redstone Harbor Energy delivers power and gas plans across the Sacramento region. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on help desk. Reliability is the job, and people here take pride in answering the phone at 3 a.m. when needed. What you will do • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with service connections. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Sacramento. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
