IT Support Specialist - help desk (remote)

Rivermark Fern Energy supplies electricity and gas to homes and businesses around Fresno. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on help desk. You would join a large organisation of about 445 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • Experience with usage data. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Fresno. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
