IT Support Specialist - help desk (remote)

We are growing our team at Northwind Orchard Freight Group and adding an IT Support Specialist whose main responsibility will be help desk. You would join a small organisation of about 29 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with claims. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Reno. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
