IT Support Specialist - help desk (remote)

Amberfield Ember Manufacturing is looking for an IT Support Specialist. The job centres on help desk for work orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with work orders. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Louisville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
