IT Support Specialist - help desk (remote)

Redstone Amber Insurance Group provides coverage to households and businesses around Charlotte. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on help desk. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with catastrophe response. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Charlotte. • We reply to every applicant.
