IT Support Specialist - help desk (remote)

Bright Hollow Arts Center is a cultural organisation in Kansas City presenting exhibitions and performances. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on help desk. Evenings and weekends are part of the job. What you will do • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • Experience with visitor services. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Kansas City. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
