IT Support Specialist - help desk (remote)

Lumen Union Health Group is looking for an IT Support Specialist. The job centres on help desk for insurance authorisations, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 174 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • Experience with insurance authorisations. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Oakland. • We reply to every applicant.
