IT Support Specialist - help desk (remote)

Westbrook Mill Environmental Services collects and processes waste and recycling around Charlotte. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on help desk. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with weigh tickets. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Charlotte. • We reply to every applicant.
