IT Support Specialist - help desk (remote)

Cedar North Insurance is an insurance company in Charleston with claims and service teams. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on help desk. You would join a large organisation of about 230 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • Experience with policy renewals. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Charleston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
