IT Support Specialist - help desk (remote)

Fernwood Meridian Inspection Services Partners tests and certifies buildings, pipelines and equipment around El Paso, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our help desk. You would join a small organisation of about 48 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • Experience with equipment calibration. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in El Paso. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
