IT Support Specialist - help desk (remote)

Northwind Drift Facilities is a facilities company in Kansas City with crews on day and night shifts. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on help desk. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • Experience with contractor visits. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Kansas City. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
