IT Support Specialist - help desk (Raleigh, NC)

Fernwood Pike Construction Group is a Raleigh contractor with project managers, trades and support staff. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on help desk. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with subcontractor invoices. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Raleigh. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
