IT Support Specialist - help desk (Providence, RI)

Highbridge Birch Environmental Services is looking for an IT Support Specialist. The job centres on help desk for weigh tickets, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 616 people based in Providence. What you will do • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with weigh tickets. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Providence, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
