IT Support Specialist - help desk (Providence, RI)

Nova Mill Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Providence. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on help desk. You would join a small organisation of about 18 people based in Providence. What you will do • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with carrier rates. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Providence. • We reply to every applicant.
