IT Support Specialist - help desk (Providence, RI)

Greenridge Glen Foods Group is looking for an IT Support Specialist. The job centres on help desk for ingredient orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 970 people based in Providence. What you will do • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • Experience with ingredient orders. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Providence. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
