IT Support Specialist - help desk (Omaha, NE)

We are growing our team at Lumen Umber Foods and adding an IT Support Specialist whose main responsibility will be help desk. You would join a large organisation of about 391 people based in Omaha. What you will do • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • Experience with customer specifications. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Omaha, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
