IT Support Specialist - help desk (Oakland, CA)

We are growing our team at Northwind Nest Manufacturing Group and adding an IT Support Specialist whose main responsibility will be help desk. You would join a large organisation of about 819 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with customer orders. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
