IT Support Specialist - help desk (Oakland, CA)

Harborlight Oak Foods Group makes sauces, snacks and prepared meals in Oakland. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on help desk. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • Experience with sanitation schedules. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Oakland, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
