IT Support Specialist - help desk (Oakland, CA)

Bright Fox Learning Group operates schools and learning programmes around Oakland, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our help desk. You would join a small organisation of about 58 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with school calendars. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Oakland, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
