IT Support Specialist - help desk (New Orleans, LA)

Amberfield Vale Staffing Group places workers with employers around New Orleans. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on help desk. Recruiters here keep in touch with people long after placement. What you will do • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • Experience with retention. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in New Orleans, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
