IT Support Specialist - help desk (New Orleans, LA)

Stonegate Wilder Insurance Group provides coverage to households and businesses around New Orleans. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on help desk. We care about how people feel on the worst day of their year. What you will do • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with catastrophe response. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in New Orleans, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
