IT Support Specialist - help desk (Minneapolis, MN)

Harborlight Junction Water Authority Group supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Minneapolis and nearby communities. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on help desk. Safety and public health guide our decisions. What you will do • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • Experience with capital projects. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Minneapolis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
