IT Support Specialist - help desk (Minneapolis, MN)

Redstone Cobalt Insurance sells home, auto and small-business insurance in Minneapolis, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our help desk. We care about how people feel on the worst day of their year. What you will do • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • Experience with claims. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Minneapolis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
