IT Support Specialist - help desk (Miami, FL)

Ironwood Thistle Insurance is looking for an IT Support Specialist. The job centres on help desk for underwriting files, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We care about how people feel on the worst day of their year. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with underwriting files. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Miami. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
