IT Support Specialist - help desk (Louisville, KY)

Lumen Technologies is an inspection company in Louisville with field technicians and lab staff. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on help desk. Technicians travel and report carefully. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with equipment calibration. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Louisville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
