IT Support Specialist - help desk (Knoxville, TN)

Fernwood Ridge Learning Group operates schools and learning programmes around Knoxville, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our help desk. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with student accounts. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Knoxville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
