IT Support Specialist - help desk (Houston, TX)

Northwind West Telecom Group provides broadband and phone service around Houston. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on help desk. You would join a small organisation of about 185 people based in Houston. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • Experience with field visits. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Houston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
