IT Support Specialist - help desk (Houston, TX)

Highbridge Birch Environmental Services Group is looking for an IT Support Specialist. The job centres on help desk for landfill records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Houston. What you will do • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with landfill records. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Houston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
