IT Support Specialist - help desk (Grand Rapids, MI)

Northwind Granite Staffing places workers with employers around Grand Rapids. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on help desk. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with temp assignments. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Grand Rapids. • We reply to every applicant.
