IT Support Specialist - help desk (El Paso, TX)

Cedar Mill Telecom builds and runs fibre and wireless networks in the El Paso area, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our help desk. We keep people connected and take outages personally. What you will do • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • Experience with outage reports. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in El Paso. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
