IT Support Specialist - help desk (Des Moines, IA)

We are growing our team at Redstone Umber Inspection Services Group and adding an IT Support Specialist whose main responsibility will be help desk. You would join a small organisation of about 16 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • Experience with test reports. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Des Moines. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
