IT Support Specialist - help desk (Des Moines, IA)

Bright Insurance is an insurance company in Des Moines with claims and service teams, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our help desk. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • Experience with underwriting files. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Des Moines. • We reply to every applicant.
