IT Support Specialist - help desk (Des Moines, IA)

Westbrook Forge Inspection Services provides independent inspection and testing for industry across Des Moines. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on help desk. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with test reports. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Des Moines. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
