IT Support Specialist - help desk (Cincinnati, OH)

Westbrook Amber Construction is a Cincinnati contractor with project managers, trades and support staff. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on help desk. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • Experience with safety records. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Cincinnati, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
