IT Support Specialist - help desk (Chicago, IL)

Bright Meadow Water Authority Group supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Chicago and nearby communities. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on help desk. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with meter reading. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Chicago. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
