IT Support Specialist - help desk (Chicago, IL)

Bluepeak Lantern Water Authority supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Chicago and nearby communities. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on help desk. Crews and office staff work closely together. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • Experience with water quality. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Chicago. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
