IT Support Specialist - help desk (Chicago, IL)

Bright Meadow Water Authority Group is a public water utility serving the Chicago area. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on help desk. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with meter reading. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Chicago. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
